How it Works

The safety of our passengers is our top priority.

Safety First

To reach the Great Blasket Island, passengers must tranship from the Peig Sayers to a smaller dinghy. We highlight this process as some passengers may not feel comfortable or be physically able to make the transfer. We offer as much assistance as possible to ensure a smooth operation, prioritising safety above all else. Below are step-by-step pictures of this process.

We provide assistance to anyone who may feel uneasy about transferring from the main vessel to the dinghy. A level of physical fitness is necessary. Lifejackets must be worn at all times during the transhipping process.
